On January 17th, Bala Cynwyd Middle School will be hosting their annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. Each grade selected an organization and the 8th grade class chose Lucy Belle's Rainbow. There are plenty of amazing organizations taking part in the annual MLK Day of Service, so please consider all of the organizations! If you decide to donate to Lucy Belle's Rainbow, we will be accepting donations both to the middle school and from our Amazon Wishlist. With these donations, students will pack the bags to be delivered to CHOP and create handmade notes for the children in the cancer ward. We will be accepting...

The Joy of Sox (Grade Six) The Joy of Sox began in Philadelphia, but it now aims to provide new socks to every homeless person in the U.S. every year. Angels In Motion (Grade Seven) Angels in Motion delivers “blessings bags” of snacks and information resources to the homeless population in Philadelphia on a weekly basis. AIM also holds bi-monthly meetings for the community to spread awareness about the disease of addiction and offers support to families, friends, and loved ones that have been affected by this disease. With the donations, students will sort donations, pack blessing bags, make encouragement notes, and prepare plastic bags to be up-cycled for sleeping mats. Providence Animal Shelter Eighth grade students will also be making dogs toys for the Providence Animal Shelter. Donations will also be accepted! Please send donations to room 109 of BCMS. This holiday season please consider buying new art supplies to donate to Lucy Belle's Rainbow. New art supplies can be dropped off at Bala Cynwyd Middle School marked "Lucy." You may donate crayons 64 box, colored pencils, markers, sketch books, and playdoh. Please make sure the art supplies are in their original packaging! Art bags will be delivered the children fighting cancer at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia so they can make art and smile! If you have any questions, feel free to email us!
Lucy Belle's Rainbow recently received a 4000 dollar grant from The Watson Foundation! Everyone on the Lucy Belle's Rainbow team would like to thank The Watson Foundation generous contribution!
